Diego Maradona dies He was sixty years old
The biggest footballer has died of a heart attack at his home in Tigre, Argentina. He made his professional football debut at the age of 15. Born in Villa Fiorito on the outskirts of Buenos Aires, Maradona made his football debut with the Argentinos Juniors in 1976.
Maradona was recovering from a blood clot in his brain.
Before moving to Boca Juniors in 1981, he scored 115 goals in 167 games for the Juniors.
He would spend only a year in Bombay, but it was one that cemented his status as one of the greatest geniuses the world has ever seen.
Despite a disappointing performance in his first World Cup in 1982, he ended up sending off against Brazil, breaking the record and moving to Barcelona.
During the 1986-87 season, he helped lift a regular Serie A team to the title of champions.
Maradona led Argentina to their second World Cup title with incredible and infamous goals against England and Belgium.
He became the star and creator of the show when he defeated West Germany 3-2 in the final in the Veil of the Aztecs.
